Marita orders 12 yards of material to make banners. If she needs one for the fabric for each banner how many banners can she make?

Answer :

1 yard = 3 feet
do a proportion:
      1 yard/ 3 feet = 12 yards/ x feet
Find the x
12 x 3 = 36, 36/1= 36
so, x = 36 feet (banners)
Marita can make 36 banner if she needs one for the fabric for each banner
