Most scientists have come to the consensus that the first humans lived around the Great Rift Valley in Africa.
Based on the ages of the fossils found in the Great Rift Valley in Africa, scientists believed that the earliest humans lived in the area because these fossils are the oldest ones on record with ages between 6 and 2 million years ago.
The Great Rift Valley is found in East Africa in the modern day countries of Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Based on the map given, the most likely location would therefore be the lowest one on the map which I circled in the attachment.
Th early humans therefore lived in Africa and only left in order to search for food and more resources.
