Measuring immigrant assimilation is a challenge because the minority group will shed some of their culture's characteristic but summarizing the findings of new researches on how immigrants and their descendants adapt to American society in a range of areas but occupation is something that could be considered as a universal link which would help the integration of immigrants into society as most of the immigrants choose to settle in American cities, where jobs were located.

The researches found that immigrants are willing to resemble born Americans. They have difficulty adjusting to life but at the same time, the United States has difficulty absorbing the immigrants but over time, however, the immigrants will succeed in bettering their condition if they can get a job.

Culture is defined as the complex whole of a society. This can include everything that gives a society its identity but there are basic characteristics that all cultures have in common and share and one of these characteristics is that every human being needs an occupation and to make a living out of it.

Assimilation in business refers to the ability of a workplace to quickly bring a new employee up to speed with regard to the organizational culture and how employees interact with each other and business clients. Improving skills upon arrival and afterward as well as lower rates of naturalization into well-paying jobs in businesses established by the ethnic community.

You would you say the group is adequately integrated into American society when these immigrants accept ideals and values, rooted in the country's history, which many Americans share. These are: FREEDOM, INDIVIDUALISM, PRAGMATISM, VOLUNTEERISM, MOBILITY, PATRIOTISM, PROGRESS, AMERICAN DREAM, provisions for freedom of speech, press and religion.

This cultural assimilation is a process that needs to be fulfilled as a minority group or culture comes to resemble values and customs from one group. It is the cultural absorption of a minority group into the main cultural body. It is the end of the process when a minority integrates socially, culturally, and/or politically into a larger, dominant culture and society. They become more and more alike in terms of values, ideology, behavior, and practices, adopting the ways of another culture and fully becoming part of a different society.

The state or condition of being well assimilated, or of being absorbed will say that the adapting, adjusting to the culture or assimilation of immigrants into American life was successful. Full assimilation occurs when new members of a society become indistinguishable from members of the other group.
