He was a person who recognised the place of spiritual authority and what its means to be anointed of God when He had the opportunity of taking saul's life-his enemy, he refused to do it. He was a leader, he had people whom he trained in battle under him. Bible discussed about Eleazar the son of Dodo, shimmach, Joab etc. Saul had no reference for spiritual things when he consulted the witch which is against God's principle. Solomon loved so many strange women, and they turned his heart away from God.

David relationship with God had to do with his consultation with God whenever he is about to go for any battle."And David enquired of the Lord, saying...". Also his altars of worship, He sang and composed a lot of songs and prophesied about the coming messiah. David had influence on his nation ,in that he fought many battles. He secured mount zion, The city of David. He had influence on Solomon and instructed him in the way of the LORD.
