Renaissance - The Renaissance was extremely important as it laid the foundation for the age of exploration and eventual European global domination. The rebirth of European interest in art, exploration, and technology came at the best possible time in history.

Scientific Revolution - The period saw a fundamental transformation in scientific ideas across mathematics, physics, astronomy, and biology in institutions supporting scientific investigation and in the more widely held picture of the universe. The Scientific Revolution led to the establishment of several modern sciences.

Protestant Reformation - The Protestant Reformation led to modern democracy, skepticism, capitalism, individualism, civil rights, and many of the modern values we cherish today.
