A lot of unnecessary emails get delivered to our e-mail without our consent. Most of them can be harmful because they contain a form of malware or virus, so it encouraged to be very careful when dealing with these junk emails.
In outlook, it is possible to automatically categorize a message as spam. You can follow up on the following steps:
- On the left panel of your main dashboard, under the folder section, click Junk Mail,
- Double click the mail you want to block, a new window will open to show the full details of the message.
- Look to the top left of the new window, you will see the block option, click on it.
- A pop up will appear to ask you to confirm your decision, once you confirm, the sender is blocked.
Interestingly, any message from a blocked sender is deleted immediately by outlook. Without the permissions of the sender or you, the message is deleted from your mail permanently, which means that it does not go into your junk mail or deleted message folders.
