Explanation:
Immigration has played a very important part in the evolution of New York City. In the past, NYC has been the most popular port where immigrants arrived. Latin Americans, people from the Caribbean, and mostly Europeans arrived at the port of NYC. We could say that “immigrants” help build NYC to what it is today. People realized that more and more people were arriving, and they needed housing, so they started building apartments and housing for all of them and it became a very lucrative business. Neighborhood life was interesting because each nationality established themselves in a specific neighborhood. We could find Chinese neighborhood, Greek neighborhood, Dominican neighborhood, just to mention a few of them. Each neighborhood was raised with each culture making NYC a multicultural city. Culture was at its finest since many people from all over the world were establishing in the city bringing their culture and sharing it with their new “home”. Finally, social interaction became a little difficult at first because there was a clash of culture between everyone but eventually people started getting to know each culture to the point that everyone interacted with everyone.
