depends on which europeans you are talking about but most likely its to pursue  economic oppourtunities in the americas

Answer:

to avoid religious persecution

to pursue economic opportunities

Explanation:

Two main reasons made Europeans leave Europe and go to America. First, most of them were religiously persecuted. When England broke ties with the Roman Catholic Church in 1534 the country created the Church of England, which maintained a series of characteristics of the Roman Catholic Church, which people did not agree with and for that reason they were persecuted.

Another reason was economical interests. Europe was expanding and needed more goods to sell and expand its commerce. With that Europeans started to travel long distances looking for new products until they reached America.
