It really depends on WHERE you are when you drop it.

The 1-pound sack of feathers is much bigger than the 1-pound lump of
gold, so if you drop them in a place where there's air ... like anywhere on
the surface of the Earth ... the gold will fall faster and hit the ground first,
because the big sack of feathers has to fight its way through more air as
it falls.

But if you drop them in a place where there's NO air ... like inside a big
vacuum chamber or anywhere on the surface of the moon ... then there's
no air resistance, and the only thing affecting their fall is gravity.  Then they
both fall at the same rate, and hit the ground at the same time. 

Not only that !  Even if they had different masses and different weights,
they fall at the same rate and hit the ground at the same time.  On the
moon, a feather and a hammer fall together.
