If 6 is subtracted from the third of three consecutive odd integers and the result is multiplied by 2, the answer is 31 less than the sum of the first and twice the second of the integers. Find the integers.

Answer :

Let the three consecutive odd integers be x - 2, x and x + 2

2(x + 2 - 6) = x - 2 + 2x - 31
2(x - 4) = 3x - 33
2x - 8 = 3x - 33
3x - 2x = -8 + 33
x = 25

Therefore, the integers are 23, 25 and 27
