I believe students should be able to read scary stories at school. To start, stories aren’t as scary as actual jump scares that might occur in something such as a horror movie or film. Books are just text on your paper, it isn’t something to feel fright over.
According to Book Trust, scary stories help children deal with real world issues and how to cope with them better. I strongly agree that hiding these issues from kids won’t help them later on in life. Children need to learn these skills in order to know what to do in a situation like that.
In conclusion, scary stories aren’t that scary, and help kids combat problems that come their way better.
