Cheetahs and lions will compete for a food source. The cheetahs and lions will compete because food can be scarce. Scarce meaning not easily found or low on that source. They compete for a warthog let’s say. They will both try to kill it and only one will be successful. Being that only one will be successful, they will fight so that they can take that dead warthog home to feed its family. This is one example of two different species competing for the same resource.
