Jake needs 8 cups of milk to make a chocolate shake for his family. His measuring device measures liquids by the pint. If 1 pint is equal to 2 cups, how many pints should Jake measure?

Answer :

1pt=2c
2 cups go into 1 pint
8/2=4
8 cups go into 4 pints
4 pints of milk is required
{P= pints }
1 pint
 2 cups
p = 8 cups
1(8)  = 2 (p)8 = 2([tex] \frac{P}{2p} [/tex])
[tex] \frac{8}{2} = 4[/tex] 8 ÷ 2 = 4
So, the number of pints would have to be "4 pints"

Hope the this helps you
