Answer :

so putting it in eqn :

(10/100) × (50/100) × X = (1/4) X -30

so , X/4 -X/20 =30
so X = 150 !!

so answer is 150 !!

Answer:  The correct option is

(C) 150.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that 10 percent of 50 percent of a number is 30 less than one-quarter of the number.

We are to find the number.

Let the required number be represented by x.

Then, according to the given information, we have

[tex]10\%\times50\%\times x+30=\dfrac{1}{4}x\\\\\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{10}{100}\times\dfrac{50}{100}\times x+30=\dfrac{1}{4}x\\\\\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{1}{20}x+30=\dfrac{1}{4}x\\\\\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{x+600}{20}=\dfrac{x}{4}\\\\\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{x+600}{5}=x\\\\\Rightarrow x+600=5x\\\\\Rightarrow 5x-x=600\\\\\Rightarrow 4x=600\\\\\Rightarrow x=\dfrac{600}{4}\\\\\Rightarrow x=150.[/tex]

Thus, the required number is 150.

Option (C) is CORRECT.
