Veronica gave 20% of her money to Bill. She used 50% of the remaining money to buy books.

If Veronica gave $35 to Bill, she spent----to buy books and she has---left.

Answer :

.20x=35
x=$175 total money to start
175-35(money she gave to Bill)=140 left

140/2=$70 spent 70 on books and has $70 left.
