Johnson had a plan for Reconstruction (called Presidential Reconstruction) however the Radical Republicans really took charge. From 1867 to 1877, Radical Reconstruction plans included:
-Invalidation of state governments formed under Presidential Reconstruction
-Division of the South into 5 military districts, each governed by a Union General
-Ratification of the 14th and later the 15th amendments in each state
-Disqualification of former confederate officials from voting or holding political office.
