A rain shadow is a patch of land or part of land, mostly seen in mountain ranges, because it has been forced to look like a desert, because the mountain range blocks plants growing and rainfall as well. One side of the mountain, precipitation is absorbed, so as snow, while the other side of the mountain or the desert side, blocks the precipitation.
