after the first week they will both put in 10 $, so they will have the same amount of money.

after the second week, Leroi will put in 10$,but Sylvia will put in 10% of what she already has there, 110 dollars, which means [tex] \frac{10}{100}*110= \frac{1}{10}*110=\frac{1}{1}*11[/tex]

So she will put in more money than Leroi: 11 dollars, and she has more money on the account!
