Because of his many successes during that period, Napoleon became a National Hero. In 1799, the Abbe Sieyes decided to propose that a new constitution should be mande for France. That happened because of the serious economical and international situation of the country. Napoleon went for a coup, then, helping Abbe but soon pushing him aside and ruling France by himself.
