To estimate this answer you will round each fraction to the closest benchmark fraction. 3/4 is in the middle of 1/2 and one whole, so it rounds up to one whole. 1 3/8 rounds to 1 1 /2 because 3/8 is close to the benchmark fraction 1/2. Estimating involves getting an answer for this question the answer would be 2 1/2 teaspoons.
