1.) First, make a graph similar to the graph above, make it random, or if you want, a similar graph.

2.)Second, calculate the mean. If there are two x in one column then multiply it by two. If there are three x in one column then multiply it by three, and so on.

Third, calculate the variance to determine the standard deviation.

Standard deviation = sqrt variance

4.) For number 4, compare your results to the 68-95-99 % rule.

The one standard deviation should be within 68%

The two standard deviation should be within 95%

The three standard deviation should be within 99%
